The members of Renewable Northwest Project (RNP) know first-hand that a skilled workforce is vital to RNP's mission of expanding the region's wind, solar, and geothermal power.
That's why we are working together to identify critical workforce needs (i.e. technicians, engineers, MBAs, environmental scientists, production/manufacturing personnel) and to communicate those needs to the educational community in designing their curriculums.
We are also designing internships that businesses can adopt by next summer to provide practical experience in renewable energy to students, recent grads, and others new to the field.

This article provides an inspiring look at the efforts of the Renewable Northwest Project (RNP) to build a skilled workforce for the renewable energy sector in Oregon. By identifying critical workforce needs and collaborating with educational institutions to shape relevant curricula, RNP is paving the way for a sustainable future. The development of internships to offer practical experience is a commendable initiative, ensuring students and recent graduates are well-prepared for careers in wind, solar, and geothermal energy. Kudos to the Oregon Apollo Alliance for highlighting such impactful work. Thank you for showcasing these important efforts and inspiring others to contribute to the green jobs movement.
